The woodland path could be closed part of Monday, July 20, and will definitely be closed all of Tuesday, July 21, in connection with an erosion/storm drainage project.

On Monday, July 20, S&P Tree Care will be removing trees in the 400 and 500 NME blocks which could require closure of the pedestrian and bike path for part of the day, New Mark staffer Jim Denny said.

On Tuesday, July 21, S&P Tree Care will be removing large Poplar trees along the path, requiring closure for the entire day.

The removal of 12 trees, several of them already damaged and dying, is necessary for the installation of drainage systems that will follow later in July and August.
