The A. B. Veirs firm that did New Mark’s parking lot repaving and concrete work will return Monday, May 4, weather permitting, to conduct repairs to sidewalk cracks and damaged curb areas identified in a survey last fall. Most of the areas are in the 200 block but there are areas in the 500 and 800 blocks as well. No asphalt repairs are needed.

The work will require some residents to move their cars. According to the firm, they will need to block off about 14 parking spaces in the 200-300 block, none in the 500 block and approximately four spaces in the 800 block. On Friday of this week, the company will set out orange cones on the sidewalk in front of the spaces that need to be vacated.

The repairs should only take one day, two at most, according to Veirs. Please note: the company says it cannot return to repair anything that was missed because a car was not moved.

If the repairs are not carried out next Monday due to heavy rains in the days preceding the planned work, please do not park where the orange cones are placed until the repairs are done.

Residents are reminded overflow parking is available in the lower Clubhouse lot.

A.B. Veirs has informed us its workers will be wearing masks and gloves and taking every precaution to comply with social distancing recommendations.
