We are busy getting the pool ready for the coming season. The pool opens on Saturday, May 27th at 10 A.M. There are several changes for 2017:
- We have increased the operating hours during the pre-season
- We have eliminated post-season hours. The pool will have regular summer hours from June 16th through the Labor Day holiday
- An increase in guest fees (first time in decades) from $1 to $2 per guest during the week and $2 to $4 per guest on weekends and holidays
- The NMC Board of Directors has adopted interim rules for pool parties held during regular operating hours.
We will be using the same pool pass system as last year. The pass you used last year is still valid. If you are a new resident or have lost or misplaced your pass, we will be issuing pool passes upstairs in the NMC Clubhouse on May 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM and May 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. We will also be issuing passes on opening day, May 27th from 10 AM to noon.
If parents want to allow their child between the ages of 9 to 15 to use the pool unaccompanied by an adult, the child can be issued a pool pass if he/she satisfactorily completes the basic swim test and has a Pool Access Permission and Liability Waiver form signed by their parents. The Pool Access Permission and Liability Waiver form must be on file with the lifeguard staff and the NMC administrator. Children 8 and under will not be issued access passes. They must be accompanied to the pool by their parent or a responsible adult at least 16 years old. The Pool Access Permission and Liability Waiver forms will also be available at the clubhouse. 2017 NMC Pool Hours of Operation
Pre-Season hours from Saturday, May 27, through Thursday, June 15:
- Monday through Friday 2 PM to 9 PM
- Saturday 10 AM to 8 PM
- Sunday 10 AM to 9 PM
In-Season hours from June 16 to Labor Day, September 4:
- Monday through Friday 11 AM to 9 PM
- Saturday 10 AM to 8 PM
- Sunday 10 AM to 9 PM
** May 29, Memorial Day holiday, the pool hours will be 10 AM to 8 PM.**
** July 4, Independence Day holiday, the pool hours will be 10 AM to 6 PM **
Interim Pool Party Rules
At the May 4, 2017 NMC Board Meeting the following interim Pool Party Rules were approved:
- All parties at the pool must be scheduled in advance with the NMC Administrator.
- No more than 15 swimmers including members and non-members.
- The party’s food focus may not be held on the pool deck. Picnic tables in the area adjacent to the playground/tennis area may be used for the party guests at no cost. Party host is responsible for set up and clean up.
- Parties are limited to two hours in the pool.
- Non-member pool party guests will pay applicable fees.
- Non-member pool party guests must sign a liability waiver.
- All pool parties must provide a minimum of two chaperones on the pool deck when swimmers are in the pool.
NOTES: To be eligible to host a NMC pool party, you must be a resident or non-resident pool member in good standing and in attendance throughout the duration of the party.
