As previously reported in the November 2016, January and February 2017 New Mark News newsletters, and several email broadcasts and website Community News items, the enhancements introduced to the 2017 NMC Board election process are intended to encourage more active and informed resident participation in seeking and filling NMC Board positions.
This included providing a more structured Candidate Statement of Intent to acquaint residents more consistently with all the candidates.
The following NMC residents have, by the February 20th 5 PM deadline, submitted statements of intent to run for election as a member of the NMC Board of Directors:
- Alex Belida
- John Hansman
- Joseph Jordan
- Kathleen Moran
- Daniel New-Schneider
- David Schwartzman

To give the community a chance to speak with the candidates and learn their vision for NMC in advance of the March 13 Annual Meeting, the March 2 Board of Directors meeting Community Forum session will be extended to one hour, to start at 7 PM with a Meet the Candidates session.
