At its monthly meeting on November 3, 2016, the NMC Board drafted a 2017 budget that would require a dues increase in excess of the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The Board’s authority to increase dues in excess of the CPI is the subject of pending litigation in Berman v. New Mark Commons Homes Assn. currently before the Montgomery County Commission on Common Ownership Communities (CCOC). The Board has now scheduled a conference call to discuss and decide how the proposed increase for 2017 should move forward.

The conference call is necessary because of the inability of a quorum to meet in person.

New Mark residents may join in this conference call. The dial-in number for the call is 712-451-0255 and the access code is 417913; dial in by 2:55 PM Wednesday November 16. The meeting agenda and supporting materials are available on the NMC website Resident Area, under Board Minutes and Agendas (http://newmarkcommons.net/meeting-minutes/).
